Greyhound Goes After Young Riders

greyhound.jpg We used to joke in college that riding Greyhound was taking the "dirty dog." It didn't really matter that the bus reeked of stale air freshner or there was always some crazy person mumbling next to you or behind you, it was cheap. And that's why young people ride Greyhound. According to Adage.com (registration required), Greyhound is going to launch a new marketing campaign to attract and keep its young riders. No details about the creative yet, but according to Toby Purdy, Greyhound's marketing chief:

"We have more of a mix of youth and college passengers riding Greyhound today," he said. "We want to make sure we're reaching targets using the right mediums. Their mind-set and the way they get information is changing. It's not just about a TV advertisement anymore."
