Alaska’s ‘Other News’

Posted by alli on 07-14-2005

In Other News, a radio show produced by youth from The Alaska Teen Media Institute gives teens an outlet to voice whatever’s on their minds. Their June program featured stories on Summer Jobs and banned books, specifically, Isabel Allende’s “The House of Spirits.” The Alaska Teen Media Institute is part of a larger non-profit called The Spirit of Youth, which has been working with teens to create hundreds of positive stories about Alaskan youth for television, radio and local newspapers. You can listen to In Other News here.
