Walter Dean Myers is named the 2012-2013 National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature by Librarian of Congress James Billington. Myers, a celebrated author of stories of urban youth, has titled his platform “Reading Is Not Optional.” (Via Publishers Lunch)

Andrew Judelson is named EVP of Sales & Partnership Marketing for WWE. Most recently, he was the Executive Vice President, Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer for U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association. (Via release)

Nick Underwood replaces Open Mind Productions founder Roland Tongue as managing director of the UK production company, which has made children’s and educational programs for channels such as the BBC, Channel 4, and Discovery Kids. Underwood was previously Commercial Director at the company. Tongue will retire at the end of the year. (Via Kidscreen)
